The English Department has come a long way since the founding of our school in 1984. We have increased the number of teaching staff, adapted our curriculum to suit students' needs, capitalized on Information Technology to enhance language teaching, renovated wherever possible to provide for students self-access learning areas like the English Corner and the language laboratory, and acquired as many language learning resources as budget allows.

But above all, our teachers have been pursuing professional development to keep abreast of and enrich themselves with new teaching ideas and skills in order to effectively help our students learn English well.

The English Department is not only mindful of executing its teaching, non-teaching and administrative activities dutifully in order to achieve the overall and specific goals set by the school, it is all the time conscious of the need to update its capability to provide quality English teaching to our students. Small successes in past years will not breed complacency among us but will only challenge us to help our students accomplish more in the future.
